A Painting a Day!
After reading Carol Marine's book Daily Painting, I am inspired to paint a small painting every day, and post it online. We have all heard that to get better at something you must practice often. There probably isn't a better way to become a more skilled painter than to paint everyday. A simple concept, but often difficult to execute. Carol suggests painting small because you can finish an entire painting in 1-2 hours, it doesn't overwhelm, you feel productive, and you have put in your practice time. THIS made so much sense to me, and is something I think is very doable for me.
So I went to Michael's armed with a bunch of coupons, and a $50 gift card from Christmas, and purchased a bunch of small canvases during their recent sale. I was able to buy $130 worth of stuff for $17!!! Score!!
